Jet Ski Rental FAQ
Jet FAQs — Rocks & Docks Adventure Rentals
Everything you need to know before spending the day on Grand Lake.
Do I need a reservation?
Walk-ins are welcome, but jet skis book fast — especially on weekends and peak summer days. We strongly recommend reserving in advance online or by calling (918) 937-9378.
How old do I have to be to rent a jet ski?
The primary renter and jet ski operator must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver’s license, which must be presented at check-in.
Do I need experience?
No prior experience is required. Before departure, our staff will review basic jet ski operation, safety equipment, and important lake rules to make sure you feel comfortable and confident.
DoI ne ed a jet ski license?
No — a jet ski license is not required in Oklahoma. A valid driver’s license is all you need to rent and operate our Yamaha jet skis on Grand Lake.
What time should we arrive?
Please arrive 30 minutes before your reservation to complete waivers, check-in, and your safety orientation.
Do all passengers need a waiver — even kids?
Yes! Everyone participating, including children, must have a signed waiver before departure. Completing waivers ahead of time helps get you on the water faster.
What should we bring?
We recommend bringing:
- Sunscreen
- Towels
- Water and snacks
- Sunglasses & hats
- Dry bag
Life vests are provided.
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes. Rocks & Docks provides all required life vests.
How does fuel work?
All jet skis go out with a full tank. At the end of your rental, you can:
- Prepay for fuel (we refuel for you for a $30 convenience fee + fuel cost), or
- Refuel yourself at Cedar Port Marina before returning the boat.
What happens if we run out of fuel on the lake?
Guests are responsible for monitoring fuel levels. If assistance is required due to running out of fuel, towing or service fees may apply.
What happens if we are late returning the jet ski?
Jet skis must be returned by the scheduled end time. Late returns will result in additional charges.
What if the weather turns bad?
Rocks & Docks operates rain or shine, and light rain does not automatically cancel a rental.
However, safety is always our top priority. In the event of severe weather (such as high winds, lightning, or dangerous lake conditions), Rocks & Docks reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a rental. These situations are handled on a case-by-case basis with guest safety in mind.
How many people can ride?
Our Yamaha VX Cruiser jet skis seat up to 3 riders. Exceeding capacity is not allowed.
Can we pull tubes or tow anything behind the jet ski?
No — towables, tubes, skis, or any towed objects are not permitted under any circumstances.
Are there no-wake zones on Grand Lake?
Yes — Grand Lake has clearly marked no-wake zones near docks, marinas, and shorelines. These must be followed at all times.
Can we dock at restaurants or marinas?
Yes, as long as the dock is public or you have permission. Please do not dock at private docks without authorization.
Can we beach the boat or pull up on shore?
No. Beaching is not allowed.
Due to Grand Lake’s rocky shoreline, beaching the jet ski can easily cause damage. The jet ski must be properly anchored or docked when stopping. Damage caused by beaching will be the renter’s responsibility.
Where can we go on the lake?
You may explore approved boating areas on Grand Lake. Our crew will provide navigation tips and suggested routes based on your plans for the day.
Is there a deposit required?
A $500 credit card hold is required at check-in. No debit cards accepted. The hold is released upon safe return of the jet ski.
Do you offer multi-day jet ski rentals?
Yes! Multi-day rentals are available depending on availability. Contact us directly to arrange longer rentals.
Where do we launch from?
Check in at 115 W. Main St., Disney, OK 74340, then head around the corner to Cedar Port Marina for your launch. Disney is a small town — everything is just minutes away.
What happens if the jet ski is damaged?
The renter is responsible for any damage, regardless of who was operating the jet ski. The card on file will be charged for repair costs if damage occurs.
What should we do if there’s an accident or damage?
For injuries or emergencies, call 911 immediately.
For damage or non-emergency issues, call Rocks & Docks at 918-937-9378.
