Rocks & Docks Boat Rental Policies

Everything you need to know before heading out on Grand Lake.

Walk-Ins

Walk-ins are welcome, but boat availability can be limited — especially on weekends, holidays, and peak summer days.
To guarantee availability, we strongly recommend reserving your boat rental in advance online or by phone at 918-937-9378.

Check-In

  • Please arrive to Rocks & Docks 30 minutes before your reservation time to complete waivers, check-in, and receive your safety orientation.
  • Boats go out clean, inspected, fueled, and lake-ready.
  • Our staff will review basic boat operation, safety equipment, navigation tips, and local lake rules before departure.

Driver (Operator) Requirements

To operate a rental boat, you must:

  • Be 21 years or older
  • Have a valid driver’s license. License must be presented at the time of rental. There will be no exceptions. If you are unable to present your driver’s license on the day of your rental, you will not be permitted to operate the watercraft, and your rental fee will be forfeited.
  • Comply with Oklahoma boating laws, including boating safety requirements.

Passenger Requirements

  • All passengers must be listed on the rental agreement.
  • Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • There is no minimum age for passengers on the boat. By Oklahoma State Law all passengers 12 years and under must wear a USCG approved life jacket.
  • All passengers must follow safety instructions provided at check-in.

Waivers (Yes — Everyone Must Sign)

  • Every person on board — including children — must have a signed waiver before departure.
Completing waivers ahead of time helps speed up check-in and gets you on the water faster.

Fuel Options

All boat rentals go out with a full tank. At the end of your day on Grand Lake, you have two fuel options:

Option 1: We Refuel the Boat (Most Convenient)

  • Enjoy your full day on the lake — no rushing back early to fuel up.
  • We handle all refueling after you return the boat.
  • $30 convenience fee applies, plus the current market price of fuel.
  • We’ll send you a photo of the fuel receipt for full transparency.
  • Fuel charges will be deducted from your authorization hold.

This option lets you maximize your time on the lake and skip fuel dock lines.

Option 2: Refuel Yourself

  • If you do not select the refuel option, the boat must be returned with a full tank.
  • Refueling must be done at Cedar Port Marina before returning the boat.

Late Arrivals

Your rental time begins at the scheduled reservation time, not arrival time.
Late arrivals may result in reduced time on the water and do not qualify for refunds.

Rental Returns

  • Boats must be returned on or before the scheduled end time.
  • Late returns will incur additional charges.
  • Please allow time for docking, unloading passengers, and post-rental inspection.

Cancellations

  • Cancel 72+ hours before your reservation full refund minus a 5% booking platform fee.
  • Cancel within 72 hours  no refund.

Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 72 hours in advance.
We will do our best to accommodate your request, but availability is not guaranteed.

Reservation Guarantee

While we make every effort to honor all reservations, mechanical issues, accidents, or unforeseen circumstances may occasionally affect availability.

If Rocks & Docks must cancel your reservation:

  • You may reschedule or
  • Receive a full refund

You will never be penalized for cancellations initiated by us.

Safety Rules & On-Water Conduct

For the safety of everyone on Grand Lake:

  • No drugs or alcohol may be consumed by the boat operator at any time.

    • We strongly recommend that children bring their own USCG-approved life vest if you have one, to ensure proper fit and comfort.
  • Life jackets must be accessible at all times and worn when required by law.
  • Obey all no-wake zones, buoys, and posted speed limits.
  • Maintain a safe distance from docks, swimmers, and other vessels.
  • Reckless or unsafe operation may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.

If the rental unit is not returned in the same condition as it was received:

  • The credit card on file will be charged for the cost of repairs, parts, and labor.
